Having one of those 'too many obligations/not enough time in the day' weeks. Doesn't help that I introduced two new things--cooking and exercise--into my already crammed days. But at least that's healthy. More on my 'life change' another time.
Tomorrow I pull a double--library all day then a late night gig at Ballys Wild West Casino--so there'll be no Saturday post gang.
However, I have some cool news to share today and some eye candy (for the ladies who visit) to hold you through until Sunday.
Without going into detail or my long history with the entertainment programs for the Romantic Times Booklovers Conventions (mostly because I'm running late for work!), this week I was offered an extremely awesome job at this year's convention. I've been asked to co-host the Mr. Romance Pageant with James Scott, an actor from the soap opera 'All My Children'! Yup. I'll be on stage alongside Mr. Scott (who's like half my age... but I am NOT going to obsess on that. Heh.) hosting a show that features 12 cover model competeing for the title of Mr. Romance. The top prize is a cover shoot for an HQN novel. This is amazingly sweet for me as I am now an HQN author. My editor is thrilled.
Anyhoo, hop over the the RT Convention site an click on 'Mr. Romance' in the left sidebar. Then read about my co-host, Mr. Scott (I'm not listed yet) and view the contestants. I'll be stuck in rehearsals all week with those boys. Don't you feel bad for me?
Co-hostess!!!
My oh my!!!
. But still, "My John" was the best Mr. Romance in 1994.
Wait -- You're cooking??? Note to Steve: Test the batteries in the kitchen smoke detector. :P
, I'll be sure to tell him you said hello! He's usually on the judges panel.
So true! I've made one breakfast and two dinners so far, plus a sugar-free/no fat dessert. Steve keeps asking, "Who are you? And what have you done with Beth?"
AND I haven't burned the house down yet!
Although, I don't know you'll make it through all those rehearsals...That'll be such a drag!
Congrats!
